Modula Link
Modula Link is the ideal solution for customers with Modula WMS installed in-house but need a server for automatic warehouse communication.
Modula Link is the WMS system to provide integration with an external Host System. It only has low-level control of a group of Lift OS machines, using a set of commands communicated with the Host System over a TCP/IP sockets channel.
Modula Link acts as the communication server: it opens a TCP port (configurable) and waits to receive commands; when it receives a valid command from the external host system, it processes it and responds to the host system about the result.
Modula Link can be configured to handle commands from a single client (mono-client communication) or several clients (multi-client communication).
When the host system needs to call a tray, it sends a command to Modula Link. When Modula Link calls the tray to be at the picking position, it informs the Host system while simultaneously processing the operation. Once the operation is completed, it returns the tray to storage and sends a response to the Host system.
Modula Link WMS system can only receive one call tray request each time. The console shows the tray is ready but does not notify the operator; the Host system takes control, informs the operator of the activities to be carried out, and asks for confirmation once the action is complete.
