Pacific Coast Heavy Truck Group is an authorized Volvo subsidiary that sells trucks in Chilliwack, British Columbia.
Problem
Small boxes and the spare parts were spread around the warehouse. Finding the products was complex and time-consuming. The dealer wanted to operate more efficiently, as well as optimize its space and enhance inventory tracking
Solution
By installing a 9.4 meter tall Modula vertical lift module, 80% of the space was recovered. The Pacific Coast operators quickly learned how to customize the shelving to house their parts. They were able to quickly assess which parts were in stock through the Modula Warehouse Management System, relying on it when their own DMS was unable to provide accurate information. The vertical lift module simplified overall operations and greatly enhanced efficiency.
